200X vs. 200CX FEL

I do this as well when mowing--left the bucket on a couple of times, but it was just "too bouncy" when mowing at full speed. I would also cast my vote for the 62" mower deck--if you are going around trees etc., it does leave a smaller uncut circle--you can get closer to "things".

<font color="blue">"If you put 815lbs of material in the bucket the tractor will not lift it."</font> This statement may be true for some CUT's but not the 2210 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

if you look right here... specs from Deere you will see that the loader is ratted for just under 800lbs at the pivot pin. I don't know the last time you lifted a bucket of stone directly below the point where the bucket attaches to the loader - I have a hard time picturing that. Generaly you see a 30% reduction in lift when going from the pivot to real bucket capacity - so by Deere's specs this loader lifts about 560lbs in the bucket. This is a case of marketing gone bad. They have ceased publishing the more truthful bucket center measurements (that Kubota and NH still use) and have gone to using the bigger number that looks better on paper. If needed 800lbs of capacity and bought this tractor to lift it they would be rather disapointed.

I do understand the spec sheet, but it does not accurately reflect what the machine will do.

The numbers posted by JDFANATIC are from an individual who simply put real/verified weight in the bucket and simply determined what the machine could really do. According to those numbers, the machine CAN pick up 800lbs and carry it to another location.

As I said, the possibility exist that some other CUT's can't do this, but that's not true for this machine.

I was just about to buy the 54" deck and the dealer was trying to talk me into it quite a bit. Thankfully I didn't bite on his offer; he was trying to get rid of an unwanted 54" deck. Take a close look at your lawn and measure your tight areas to make sure if the 62" will fit. Then drive a tractor to see both how close you can trim to trees and not have your ROPS trim branches and how tight the mowing radius is with the larger deck. You'll be glad you did and the additional money will be well worth the cost just like the removeable loader is going to be. Think of it as an "emotional investment" to be paid back every time you use your machine. Keep us posted!

I'll have to assume they under-rate it . . . but, if you have any doubts, you're not that far from CT --- we can stage a test. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yea and don't forget that the 62" is cutting width not the actual width. I have a trailer that is 62" between fender wells so the 62"mmm wouldn't work otherwise I would prefer the 62" over the 54" for all those reasons stated above

I probably would have been measuring the obstacles and thinking that 62" was the total width and not just the cutting width. Thanks for the reminder.
