Corn is cheap in MS but there are these guys in green uniforms that don't allow hunting over corn.

Only with a disability during archery season and from what I hear they have really cracked down on it. I think a bill was passed last spring that allows a crossbow to be used during rifle season by anyone.

Can't in w.v. unless your missing an arm:laughing:

Dumbest thing I ever saw,you can kill them with a bow,a shot gun,a rifle,a pistol here,,any one can maim them with what ever method of the above they wish to,but you can't kill one with a crossbow.

Ohio,you can,believe va. you can.

you can always tell when it's archery season...there are buzzards everywhere... there really should be a manditory test to prove archers can make quality shots before they are allowed in the woods... and they should do more to enforce recovery of deer that are hit with poor shots and end up as buzzard fodder...

Deer are begining to get a bit active on my place. Will be a week, maybe 2 before they really heat up however.

I have been in stand a few evenings with bow, some nice does but have not seen the boys out much.

I have a brood of young turkeys that are like a comedy show. 12 of the buggers and are a scream to watch them run around, chase bugs, chase one another, and generally create mayhem.

Catfish are biting in the pond, the grass carp have started to sun in the warmer shallows so its time to go arrow a couple more of them for sure.

Life is good.

Well bow season has already started here in Tx. Now big ones in range yet but ive caught them in camera. I would rather bow hunt than use a gun but i do both. My brother started using a crossbow last year when they made it legal but heck than is harder than a bow i think (if you dont have a good rest). Lets see those picks guys. Ill post some when i download my camera.

2 down,,,,buzzards eat guts too, plus all I save on a deer is the tender loins and hams, buzzards, foxes, coyotas get the rest.

But yeah, that was kinda my point with not being allowed to use a cross bow in some states,[maiming I mean],,many deers maimed with regular bows,,[has more to do with the person pulling the bow than anything I know but],a cross bow is like a gun,,if scope is lined in for distance,,its there all the time, but you still got to know your distance.

Been bow hunting 5 times in the last two weeks. Saw a decent 7 point Sunday morning. Other than that, so far many doe and small bucks. Still a little warm up here for the rut. Seeing deer every time out. Should be good in a couple weeks. If we get something big, I'll post it here.
