I don't know a lot about CWD in deer. Last I'd heard it had not come east of the Mississippi yet, but that was a few years ago.
Confirmed in New York State a few years back.......

That's scary. Have there been more cases yet?
We always had who ever killed his/her first one,gut it by themselfs.
Yeah,last year,no acorns,,deer were at my stand all night eating the corn,this year acorns,,and although I've killed two,,not many eating the corn.

Here's some info..........http://www.dec.ny.gov/animals/7191.html ..Oneida County NY there was a Deer Farm & Taxidermy Shop where it originated from.....(Probably got some heads from out west?) .......I guess he was doing Taxi work and somehow the head/spine of an infected one was exposed to wild/farmed deer and he was a rehabilitator that released wild deer back into the wild.......

I heard quite a few gun shots around us early this morning. Could it be muzzle loading seasons already?
Went looking for my hunting regulations and big game tags. I found them but they were from last season! Guess I did not receive the new regs and tags though I do remember mailing in the form. Maybe I got them and put them where I would not loose them.....
I did notice this in the NC regulations that are online.
Seems like only a matter of time before it gets into NC. And then to SC.
Oh yeah. Muzzle loading season started on 10/30. Which would be today. And explains the firefights that I heard this morning. :laughing:

What a body and rack on that deer. We are in bow season in Alabama but gun season does not start til Nov 20. Got the green fields ready and the pics of visiting deer look good
