2011 Boomer 40 fuel pump timing

I have a 2011 new Holland boomer 40 it had its engine rebuilt. When it was taken out the fuel pump was removed and the person who did it never took note of the timing markings, plus it took almost a year to get back.
When I reinstalled the engine I searched everywhere to find how to properly install the fuel pump, but for the life of me can't even find even a service manual.
The pump and flywheel have many markers and went with two 8's on the flywheel and put the 8 in the middle off the pump gear. This gets the tractor to start but it takes a few cranks and runs with a knock at idle.
So if anyone knows the proper procedure it would be much appreciated and save a huge amount of time going through each timing mark.

The pump model number is MT40195458 if I am not mistaken.

This is the pump it is hard to read the etched numbers. Also included some of the service manual it does not have any info for setting the proper pump install if you did not follow these steps when taking it off.
I have no idea what to try next any help would be great.

I forgot to mention I found a downloadable service manual that I bought and it does not have any instruction on how to set pump timing other than doing it before removing.

On the valve cover, is there a tag giving any info such as 1.0mm @ outlet A.??

BTW.. it’s a Zexel VE pump.
If u could LIGHTLY sand the housing where name plate is etched, it may help get the #’s.??

Yes it does it. It is 1° ATDC I'm hoping to find a way to get this done without removing the front cover in the engine. Especially since it has been completely installed filled with fluids and not even sure if the gears have markings.

the harmonic balancer has markings also with a 0 and 10 lines but on the front of the engine it does not have any thing to align it with that I can find.

I’ve never seen a diesel fire ATDC.!!
