2011 or 2012 F-250 ??

Hey Guys

This happened to me. 36k on my 2008 f-250 diesel. High Pressure fuel pump went bad. $9500 to the dealer.. insurance approved it. I am very upset.

My question now is, Do I buy a 2011 f-250 with a diesel or gas engine? or once this happened to my truck, should i keep my truck and be rest assured that the engine still had a lot of miles left.. or did this completely ruin my engine and I should hold on to this truck any longer.. Im just wondering if this totally ruined the engine in terms of it lasting for a long time.

I say get rid of it if the money all works out.

Josh, I don't care for the 6.4 Ford and the fuel system is the main reason. I just don't trust it. Always cost to much to work on it.
I would go for a 2012 or 2013 from all I hear about the new 6.7 they got the power to get the job done.
