2011 Superduty are out! ! !

Started this thread a while back and just wanted to say i Ordered my truck yestorday.

Should be here in 6 wks.

Hope that wait pans out for ya- when I ordered my 96 F350 they said 6 weeks.
Ordered around 4th of july and didn't get it until halloween. 16 weeks! I ordered it as a 95 but when it finally got here it was a 96:thumbsup:
I was a little perturbed about the wait but what ya gonna do? Could not find one on a lot anywhere like I wanted so I had to order....still got it, 185k reliable miles, shooting for 500k...unless I win the lottery

I think Ford is getting better on order dates.I ordered my 2011 F-250 superduty and it only took 4 weeks.coobie.

We have ordered about 8 different Fords and Mercury's since 1999 and I have never waited more than 5 weeks. Does not hurt I am just 1 to 2 states away from where they are assembled.

My boss just ordered a Lincoln 3 weeks ago and it came yesterday. They told him he could pick it up Friday. His original delivery date was 6 weeks.

Chris,I love my new 2011 superduty(6.2 gasser)it was well worth the wait.My last truck was a 2004 dodge 2500 cummins diesel that was very dependable,I sure hope my new ford serves me just as well.coobie

My wife and I drove a 2011 F350 diesel today and were very impressed. We need a 1 ton in addition to our '07 Ram 2500 Cummins for her business. She fell in love with the Ford: quiet, nice ride, super powerful, and the built-in LiarMeter said we were getting some nice avg mileage while testing.

I'd like to hear from people actually using this rig to hear first hand what kind of experience they're having.

I hate the grill design on the 2011's! I saw one on a Ford lot today and there was a 08-10 nearby and it looked a lot nicer! :thumbsup:

Yeah but 25 years ago you wouldn't even think about towing over 16k lbs with over 3k lbs of tongue weight without a class 5 truck or larger. :thumbsup:

My 04 F-250 has the 10K package and my 06 F-350 SRW has the 11.5K package. There is no comparison. I would change my order if I were you and do not make the mistake I made. You never know when you may get a bigger toy as I did 1 year after getting my F-250 and then realize I did not have enough truck. Its not much money to upgrade to the F-350 SRW, about $600 and I guarantee you if I put you in my drive way and blind folded you then took you in a rid in both you could not tell the difference. They ride the same but the F-350 is much more truck and more secure and actually rides better with a load.

Just think about it. I made that mistake once. Why do you thing the dealers stock so many 3/4 ton diesels? Guys want a diesel and thy figure a 3/4 ton is the way to go when stepping up from a 1/2 ton such as I did. In a few years they out grow it and they then get a new truck sale just as they did in my case.

I went from a 2006 F250 w/ 5.4 to a 2009 F-350 w/ snowplow pkg and camper pkg Rancho shocks V-10 and to be honest it rides a heck of a lot better than my 250 rode. My wife even says its a smoother ride than her Jeep liberty. I had 42 bundles of shingles in the back as the heaviest load and it hauled them. PS. I definitely knew they were back there though. I agree with upgrading to the 350.. The price is marginal and why go through all the grunt work etc for aftermarket addons when you can upgrade from the factory cheaper and they do the work..

I agree the Ford grill is not the best but its growing on me. Still the best rig on the road. Dodge does look the best thought.
