Then why did they go back to leaf springs?
The leaf springs in the Dodge NEED the air suspension to be able to handle the weight that others handle with leaves.
The 4wd had leafs in the rears.
The majority of people that buy these truck are using them for personal vehicles, may haul once in a while. Anyone who does serious hauling go with something like an FL M2, KW T270, Hino, or the like. Light duty trucks are light duty, and grossly over priced, considering you can get what I listed above for the same or less money. I see more of tneses on the highways all the time. Plus, medium duty truck will still be working long after psid for, the light duty will need to be replaced.
Coils and air bags will be fine, and will ride smoother empty.
