I'm looking at a 2015 CK30 HST that has 150 hours on it for $18,500. It's part of a local Kioti dealer's rental fleet. The dealer has been a Kioti dealer for 8+ years. It looks to be in very good condition. They claim it'll still have 2 years of warranty left. At first they said it was a 2016 and that it was a CK3510 HST when I called asking them about what new models they have on the lot. However I found it online and it shows it's a 2015 and that it's a CK30HST. I've searched all over the Internet to try and gauge if it's worth considering or if I should move on. I'm guessing the CK3510 was a newer model from the CK30, should that be of concern? I was looking at new one's because used ones are pretty much impossible to find in my area, however no one locally seems to have CK2610 or CK3510's in stock right now. I'm not in a rush so if waiting for something new is most likely going to be my best option I have no problem with waiting.

Thanks for any insight/thoughts. This would be my first tractor purchase, would be using to do landscaping, field mowing on 3 acres. It's overwhelming with all the options, brands and manufacturers, but Kioti seems to be decent quality/features for the price point and has come out on top of my list.

Thanks
Tony

Due to federal Emissions regulations, the models changed over from the Tier III (Non-DEF) to Tier iV (DEF) models somewhere around 2015/2016. The CK series (CK30, CK35, etc.) are Tier III and the CK10 Series (CK3010, CK3510, etc) are the newer Tier IV models. So CK30 & CK3010 are both 30HP models, just different emissions standards. Same for all the other model numbers in the series (CK35 vs CK3510 and so on).

I haven't priced anything with a dealer since we bought in 2014 but back then a CK35 (Gear) with FEL was $17,500 - going to HST added another $1k. In reading various quotes others have posted here while shopping it seems the price per HP & transmission has remained fairly constant so I would expect a NEW ck3510 HST to sell for around $18-19k depending on the dealer and rebates at the time.

That said - my personal uneducated gut feeling is that $18,500 for a used CK30 is asking a bit much - UNLESS there are some extras you didn't account for. If it has the rear hydraulic remotes (2 Max) that would be about $400 each to add. A front 3rd function on the loader (for a grapple or 4-in-1 bucket) would be another $800. Coming from a rental fleet, I would almost expect it to have these but one never knows.

The change over from the CK to the CKxx10 series also made a few standard features into options. Things like the rubber floor mat and telescoping lift arms. My best suggestion is to get his price on a new CK3010 / CK3510 with comparable features (including rear remotes, 3rd functions, etc) and then you can make a fair apples to apples comparison.

I have never really been one to suggest smaller is better but in your case the CK2610 might fit your needs better. 3AC of mowing with a 4' mower might take a little while (and depending on the field itself you might be able to run a 5' with no problem) but trying to maneuver a CK3510 w/ FEL in some tight spaces doing landscape work will get equally frustrating.

That part of the decision boils down to deciding what you plan to do the most of and purchase accordingly.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

Thanks for the input Steve, I really appreciate it. I had it stuck in my mind that the 3510 were in the 24/25k range from a local dealer I talked with a few days ago. Thinking back he kept trying to push me to the New Holland's they had on the lot over the single Kioti they had which I think was a DK series. I looked at the pics of the used one and didn't see any add-on's like the additional remotes on the front or the back.

After calling around to some dealers in the next state over to compare to new unit pricing one dealer is at $18,755 for a new CK3510 HST including the $2,100 rebate in lieu of the 0% financing option and another dealer is at $19,250 for a 3510 HST with same rebate. The CK2610 is $17,492 with the rebate in lieu of the 0% financing option and another dealer is at $17,800 with the same rebate and terms.

TractorHouse.com | KIOTI CK30 For Sale - 5 Listings - Page 1.
The resource cannot be found.

Is this the tractor sale ? Price seems to be abit high. As you stated you can get a new one for this price or close to it. Did you ask to see the maintenance records ? Its coming up on a 200 hr. service. I have a 2013 CK 27H I bought in 2015 with 190 hrs for $13,500. Same as the CK 30 and 35 just different size engine. I bought that as I didn't want the new emissions tractors. Used tractors are like used trucks, if they are in great shape you will pay almost as if new !
