I know there are a lot of ford fans on this site, so here's the aluminum f150 build and price (no fuel mileage-for the 2.7 or the 3.5 (non ecoboost)). 2015 Ford F-150 Pickup Truck | The Future of Tough | Ford.com

The 2.7 ecoboost is only a $795 option, seems pretty reasonable to me.

Quick try and it looks like you have to get max payload to get 3:73 rear end. Max tow selected 3:55 with Supercrew 3.5 ecoboost unlike my 2011 max tow where I get 3:73 gears. If true, you can't get 3:73 with a 5.5 bed.

Saw a copy of an order sheet that showed the 2.7 made peak torque at 3000 rpm's. Pretty impressive.

Good stuff. Can't wait to hear the real world towing and mileage #'s. Pretty amazing what technology can do. I really like the idea of a 30 mpg half ton truck, hopefully there will be more choices moving forward.

Priced out a XLT model (5.0 engine)with the options I wanted and list was $47,820,YIKES.I guess I will hold on to my 2006 ford super crew with 79,000 miles on the OD.Love to have one just can,t afford it.After looking at prices one would think a 3/4 pickup is darn close price wise to purchase verses the 1/2 ton models.
