2016 Deere x750 -- no drive over deck

I think you will not be happy until you have the NEW Deck (60 HC) . I can not say I blame you if I bought a NEW 2016 mower that should have the Drive Over Deck I would ask why ? I seen all the adds on TV about Drive Over Deck Auto Connect looks good I would like one . For me it would not be a deal breaker if it was cheaper (had a choice) personally I like the Drive Over Deck Auto Connect not so much . I me a new mower should come with all the new stuff .

I visited multiple dealers yesterday and they showed me a document that said the 62 inch Edge Xtra was compatible with x750's from 2006 - 2012. This link supports that:

So why am I finding 2016 x750's mounted with 62" Edge Xtra decks?

My theory; Dealers still have 62C decks in stock to sell.
Mother Deere may have sold the remaining 62C decks to dealers at closeout prices when they become obsolete?

that link is rather interesting, but not 100% accurate, they don't show any of the prior X7 series, or X4/X5 HD series tractors where the 62C was used..

new HC decks are the current decks for the X7 current tractors, but those older "C" decks are compatible with them using old lift arms...

I agree, the "link" is only for current models. I assume the dealer showed him previous information that the linked information superceded, since he mentions 2006-2012

I wonder why so much of the deck belt doesn't have a cover. Isn't it more likely that something could get caught in the belts when mowing? The cover on my 60" deck on the 455 doesn't show any exposed pulleys or belt.

I saw, and used it, for 3 hours before purchasing.

I took the covers(two) off the deck all they do is trap grass and make is hard to clean out .

No point in throwing insults back and forth.. not the TBN way to have a discussion.

I too remove the belt covers so the deck top can be kept dry and free of grass and debris. However, occasionally a stick will flip up and get caught, throwing the belt off. But easy to see and roll back on when it happens.
Deck will rust out if wet grass and debris lingers under those covers. Save them for when the deck is traded back..
