2016 Ram 2500 verses 6 point buck 70mph

I've hit deer 4 different time, luckily at much lower speeds. I'm always amazed at the amount of hair that gets left on your vehicle. I'm glad you didn't have any more damage, but I won't be surprised if there isn't a lot more damage then meets the eye.

Ouch, looks like it could've been a lot worse though. I've never owned a new vehicle but can imagine the pain of that.

As for insurance coverage, deer are covered here in Va without and points, now if you try to avoid the deer and hit something else then it's considered your fault. So best to just hit it if it appears inevitable.

I don't think they pay here in Wis. A brush guard would be good for ya truck

Yes, they pay here in Wis. Unfortunately, I've hit 2 deer and Insurance has covered all but the deductable.

I too expected more damage especially at 70 mph. I also own a 2016 Ram 3500 dump truck. I live out in the sticks and own a bar in a small rural town. I've had to significantly lower my speed when going to work this time of year because of the rut. I've had the urge to put my plow on early!

That will cost you. Insurance don't pay out on deer

Pays on mine also, several times over the years.

P.S. The tricky part is will the body shop warranty the repair work for several years, especially the clear coat. In writing.

If you only have liability only they won't pay, But If you have full coverage insurance they will pay

I found out today $0 deductible (called it animal hit)from my auto owners insurance policy. If there is any good out of this mess I guess this is it.

My insurance covers animal hits on the comprhensive part and not collision. Its pretty cheap to have a low deductible on comprhensive.
