Good luck. Based on the relay testing explanation it sounds like you know what you are doing.
Only thing left I can think of is to pull the ignition switch and run a jumper from the ignition to the starter.....bypassing all the safeties etc. Who knows ?

Thanks for the help guys. Just dropped it off at the selling dealer. It'll be a week before I hear anything back. The tech looked at a couple hot button items and swapped in a couple shop relays, no joy. He thinks it's strange that the check light isn't flashing as all the safety items should flash it.

It is an hst and no clutch so no switch there. What other lock out items are there are to check?*

That's odd, my HST Kioti will only crank if in neutral.

Is there no clutch on the 2538?? My 1533 has a clutch, required use at least for starting and shifting in and out of 4 wheel drive.

No clutch. I just throttle down to idle speed whenever I want to engage the PTO, and 4-wheel drive. The 2538 has to have the brake pedals depressed in order engage the starter.

The little brake pedal switch could be out of adjustment (got bumped) or doesn’t have a good ground. That seems to be an easy check and fix.

It's been a while since I updated this thread but I really didn't have anything concrete to go on. I just picked up my tractor yesterday after repairs. 2 months is uncalled for but that's a whole other story and a big issue that Four Brother's needs to fix before I ever go back.

So, after replacing a couple relays and several software updates, the Mihindra rep came out and helped them t/s the problem. They replaced the ECU and this resolved the issues and is back to working great.

Interesting and thx for the update. This is the first ECU I’ve seen that needed to be replaced. I’m sure they played heck chasing intermittent and random issues before they replaced the ECU. Very low failure rate on those!

Servicing dealer...... It could be this, it could be that, my aunt could be my uncle. These are trained mechanics ? imagine what the bill would be if out of warranty.
