I would bet that your rust issues have compromised your ground(s). That is where I would start.

That's what I'm thinking..I would bet that you rust issues have compromised your ground(s). That is where I would start.
Yeah thats a connection issue. You know what’s going on better than I do on your rig.It only has 1 battery and it was replaced today.. It had a slight hesitation/lag when cranking at first .. Like it was about to go click click click.. But did turn over and start.
So I have the truck in the title. It's been my plow truck and general heavy tow vehicle, mulch vehicle etc. It has about 15K miles on it since new.. It goes out in the worst of the worst of the worst weather.. Its on its 4th.. Yes 4th set of manifolds, 2nd set of heads, 4th set of brakes, rotors, callipers , 2nd set of trans lines, 2nd set of power steering lines, second set of shocks..... You get the idea. .. Anyway ..A recent issue has been the battery not holding a charge.. Or not charging enough. It cranks over slow at first with a brand new battery. Also, when I have the Boss plow on and use the electric controls to lift and angle the blade.. If the radio and heat are on, The radio and heat shut off until i release the plow buttons. Im wondering if this is a bad ground ...maybe the battery ground to chassis ?
Wow! Just wow!
That's an awful lot of problems for a truck that new! Did you buy this new? I have the V10 in my 2007 E350 and it has been flawless. Been driving it for 17 years now and the ONLY thing that's been done to it is changing a faulty brake switch that was causing the cruise control to occasionally disengage.

I'm going to look at the cables at the top of the battery closer tomorrow.. the other ends.. I'll have to bring it to the mechanic.. I don't really want to get under it.Yeah thats a connection issue. You know what’s going on better than I do on your rig.
How do the terminals on the cables look?
With all your salt up there, could be rusted cable on starter/solenoid
Yes I bought it new. ..But up here the state used Mag Chloride on the roads and salt that devours vehicles.Wow! Just wow!

That’s actually really cheap these days for a starter.Got the truck fixed today. It was the starter. Not certain if it was the solenoid or the starter itself. The wires were really corroded so I just had the whole thing changed. 209.00 for a Ford oem part and it cranks over great now.
