To be honest, we buy vehicles that best fit our perceived needs and fuel mileage is way down on the list of importance for us. Nonetheless, we just can't believe just how good MPG this truck gets. And as a added bonus, it still has lots of zip.

We are nearing 3000 miles on this silly truck and are really, really liking it. I drive it to work which is about 1 hour total, per day. The fuel mileage is tremendous, the seats are wonderful and the lane radars are very much appreciated. The interior is quite well designed. I'm liking it more and more.

I have past 1200 miles and on the last fill-up 90% city driving 23.5 MPG.

It would be nice to know what the average MPH is when average MPG is listed. Anyone have both of those numbers?

Do you mean whatever the MPG ford's dash computer claims is, compared to doing your own math? If that's the case, we tested that and it was quite close.

I do not have a Ranger but I was curious what the average recorded speed (MPH) was when the average mileage (MPG) was recorded. Both would have to be reset at the same time.

I always look at both when I am checking mileage. Rather than guessing how much is highway vs City, what speed limit on the roads traveled, etc.

It will be a while but I'll reset average speed and trip odometer next time I fill up and then the following fill up I'll have the numbers. My numbers above are the my math not the vehicles estimate.

Thanks for the review Arly. In a few years I will be in the market for a compact truck and the Ranger and Canyon are tops on my list. I drove a Canyon and like it a lot except the seating position was a little low to the the floor. Your legs stick out versus down.

For now, my CRV must do the daily driving.

Anyone have the Ford "MyKey". I enabled mine for a few weeks and this morning disabled it because it would turn off the steering assist, a default that I did not like. I don't need it to set a maximum speed limit and I don't need it to mute the radio till I buckle my seatbelt or tell me how many mile I drove or not allow "R" rated radio stations. Are there any benefit options on "MyKey" I'm missing?

I feel like I'm sitting as high as I did on my F150. The ranger 2WD seat sits 33" up from the ground.

Sounds like the MyKey is for parents that want to control how their children drive ?
