2019 Kioti DK4710 SE CEL/RPM issue.

I have a 2019 Kioti DK 4710 SE that has started acting up just a month or two out of warranty. This actually started about two months ago, but I haven't had time to deal with it yet. The CEL is coming on even after I disconnected the battery or ECU for a few minutes. The light stays off until I restart the tractor. When the tractor is running everything seems fine until you disengage the brake pedal. When releasing the brake, either just the pedal(s) or parking brake, the engine RPM increases by about 400-500 RPM. I can still use the tractor and performance doesn't seem affected. The engine RPM goes back down when I press the brake, and back up when I release again.



It seems you can't diagnose engine codes without the dealer-only software, despite the machine having an OBD port. I've replaced the fuel and air filters, but no changes. Is there something else I'm missing? The manual is of little help.

I know nothing about that tractor but the only circuit connected to the break pedal as far as I know would be the break lights. Can you pull that fuse and see what happens ? Maybe a poor ground in the circuit ?

There is also a sensor so it knows when the pedals are not linked, to know when the brake is depressed for engine starting, and something else. I worry about rodent damage since it is parked outside, but I can't see anything amiss.

Maybe just moisture in 1 of the related circuits. If everything is fine with the brake engaged seems it would indicate it must be related.

Good tip, I'll take a closer look next time I have a moment.
