2019 Ram Classic Key Fobs lost

Most late model used pick ups are ex-lease company vehicles; and every company I've worked for, when they surplused vehicles, noone made any effort to track down the spare keys (normally kept locked up in office somewhere).

My guess is you have to go to a dealer. If you had one fob you could use the complex procedure. Without it , how will the truck know its not me trying to steal it?

My Chev required existing fob to program new one. Dealer wanted to charge 100for a two minute operation to program new fob

Last used the key Wednesday morning, Saturday evening, daughter grabs a long sleeve shirt from her closet and my key fob drops on the floor... my guess is she grabbed it off the counter accidentally with her shirt Wednesday. Still have the OEM unlocked fob coming, so I think, based on the video, I can flash that new key using old, and have my original and a spare.

Fantastic! You never know where stuff goes.

A few years back my wife and I go on vacation. We use the safe on the upper shelf of the hotel room closet.

One morning, I go to get my wedding ring. It’s gone. Look everywhere. Gone.

5 days later my wife is packing to go home. She finds the ring in a shirt pocket that was on a hanger in the closet.

Apparently, I knocked it out of the safe and it fell into the shirt pocket. No noise. Didn’t know it happened.

I was probably just as happy as when you git the fob!

This summer I lost one of my f 150 fobs in FLA. Thankfully I always carry the back up with my luggage. Ford dealer charged me right at 250 bucks for a new one and programming. Several weeks later I found the one I lost sitting in a case of water I had bought....

Speaking of snowflakes....
I dropped my only Ford fob into a pile of mushy snow.
Instantly ruined.
LUCKILY, my Ford has the keypad. Let myself in and used the spare in my console to get home.
The KEYPAD is probably my favorite Ford feature. Wish RAM had it.

The keypad is nice. I’m not sure what only Ford latched onto that idea.
