Right, the huge fires are fueled by the drought but it is not started by the drought. They all start from many different places simultaneously.

Strangely, I was just in CO and UT for 10 days and there was like no smoke in the skies. Had more issues with clouds/rain than any Smokey skies

Wow, it looks like it burned to timberline on Lassen. I hope Susanville doesn't get burned out. That fire is a monster.

My place is less than 5 miles from the Caldor fire line. Looks like it will miss me but that could change this evening when the winds change. I'll be here waiting for it.
