None for me either. Chiggers is a different story.

I'm covered in ant bites (long story).. but haven't had any ticks this year. Of course, I'm only out at the property a couple times a month right now.

I haven't had any in the last few weeks, but I dread the fall when they usually come back again.

Had my worst tick encounter of the year Sunday. Had 3 wake me up crawling on me in the bed, then the next day found one lightly imbedded in my head. Put our comforter in the dryer and found 1 dead in the dryer afterwards. Sunday morning I took my dog for a hike (she sleeps in the bed) then I went wade fishing a river for smallmouth, spent plenty of time on the banks bushwacking.

Curious,

For the past month and a half, NOT A SINGLE TICK!

And I have not cut down on my exposure, and have not added any preventive measures.

Odd? Or just the seasonal decine?
How dry has it been in your area? They tend to be less active when it’s dry out.

We also tend to see them in waves around here. We get a busy time from mid spring to early summer, then the activity seems to taper off, with a resurgence in September.

Was at farm Monday cutting back low hanging limbs for about 3 hours. Was surprised that I didn't find any on me. Did spray with 40% Deet around ankles and pant legs. Earlier in the year didn't seem to matter what precautions I took, seemed to always wind up with 2-3 when I went to farm

A neighbor had red meat allergy from tick bite. We're now seeing lots of seed ticks that are larvae I believe, pin head size.
