I was using my 2028 today and it seemed to be somewhat low on power. I realized that the engine was under some load at all times EXCEPT when raising or lowering the loader. There is obviously something restricting the oil flow when the loader valve is in the neutral position. The oil was definitely getting hotter than normal!

Any thoughts as to where to look for the restriction? It has the C-50 FEL and is plumbed for a C-76 hoe.(not currently mounted)

Well, there's nothing like publicly airing my stupidity... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
The three point hitch control lever was pulled the whole way up...past the stop, and into a constant pumping position that I didn't know existed. Well, I won't do that again!
The suggestion to change hydraulic filter is a valid one. The oil got pretty hot..might drop all the fluid too. I'll see what it looks like in daylight.
