2120 HSS command will not engage forward or reverse

I'm trying to help a friend of mine who does not use computers. The rundown: was using it to clean out stalls hauling in bucket,and back 4 times. Last stall, bucket full, tractor starts, shifts into 1,2,3,4, also L,M,H but will not move.
How do I test the control box? I do not have a manual, it is not my tractor. I bought one for my tractor online, but he doesn't know how to use a computer very well so it doesn't make sense to do that for him. Could someone please share the procedure?

I have checked everything I can with a multi meter, checking continuity, voltage drops across connections and switches. I have cleaned every electrical connection and lubed with dielectric grease. The neutral/forward/reverse switch is functioning and sending ~12 volts all the way through to the "control box" on the appropriate wires depending on forward or reverse, along with one constant hot (key is on for these tests, tractor running. There is no voltage on any of the other wires. I am guessing there should be output voltage to the appropriate solenoid, the one on left being reverse and right being forward? (Marked with R and F). I have verified clutch operation and the "bleed off" cable functioning. Tractor does not bog down when clutch pedal is pushed in and released. I can hear it disengage and engage however. I have read everything I have found on this. There were no previous symptoms. Thank you in advance! Any other advice is welcome!

I forgot to mention: PTO engages, lift works and all loader hydraulics work. Fluid is topped off.

I have the ehss transmission and the owners manual that came with it, unfortunately not in electronic form. I can scan pages for you if you want.

Jim, That would be awesome. Its a 94, says HSS mode command on the side. All I'd really like how it says to test the control box. Thank you very much. Beyond that I'm going to probably buy him a PDF manual from manual vault and just print it out for him. Make it a late Christmas present.

So mine is an EHSS. I don't think there's much different except mine has a switch to slow or fast for the reaction time of the reversing clutches. I'll get to it tomorrow I think.

This is three pgs from the troubleshooting and wiring portion. I have a Ford manual called a "supplement" to the owners manual. It's about 25 pgs long. let me know if you need more.

Thank you Jim, I had seen that flowchart elsewhere. Thebwiring schematics were helpful to verify that each wire did what I thought. I was hoping there was something that specified a method of testing the control box specifically, with a multimeter. I am pretty sure it is the culprit, but since it is not mine I want to be sure before I open it up to check for a bad solder joint or other board failure. I ordered the I&T manual which will be here tomorrow, however if this info isn't contained in the factory service manual it probably won't be in that either. I do greatly appreciate your help. John
