Hi there.
I was hoping someone might be able to tell me the proper way to adjust the SCV on my 2120.
The story is that the lever suddenly felt like it wasn't engaging anything, so I pulled the top cap off, and seeing the 4 adjustment bolts, took them off thinking I might be able to get further into the unit to see what was wrong. I now realize my mistake and wish I did some research first.
Turns out the problem is a broken roll pin.
When I removed the adjustment bolts, two of them broke, and they must have been mostly broken before I touched them as it barely took any force. So I will need to replace at least two of them.
The other thing is, in mine, they are a short threaded rod with a nut on. There is no slot or Allen key for adjustment, so I'm wondering if there is a different way to set it up? All I have found discusses doing 1/8 or 1/4 turns, which seems hard to do accurately, with no slots in the bolts etc.
Lastly, with no slots in the bolts, can I just make my own replacements out of a 1/4 bolt and not, cut to the right size?
Thanks in advance for the help.
