I've just about got the bota 2150 ready to go. I have had questions before as I purchased it from Delta airlines as it was used for a luggage tug and was missing most lift, hydro
controls ect. Seems the two chains that keep drawbar from swinging, attach to roll bar, BUT I don't have one and need to fabricate a couple pieces metal to attact them too. Has anyone got any pics and/or measurements of where and how they hook up so I can make some? thanks Rick

What kind of hours did the airline put on the tractor? Just curious.

I would definitely get a ROPS if at all possible. I can take pics of my B2150 tonight and post later. Give me your e-mail address and I'll send them direct.

Kubota has a program for ROPS for older tractors. Checkout the Kubota website at www.kubota.com. The ROPS kit including seat belt for my F2400 was only $150.

I interpreted this comment as "I need a couple pieces of metal to fabricate the lift arm stabilizer setup". It appears that others interpreted it as "I don't have a ROPS on the tractor and need a couple pieces of metal to go where the ROPS used to be".

What was it that you needed?

You got it Calvin. I need to fabricate two pieces if metal to hook the sabilizer chains to. I was'nt going to get a rool bar as I farm and have three larger (60-100hp) tractors and bushog with a 20 ft batwing and mow some VERY steep hills here in KY.
I just live two miles from other farms on 10 acres and wanted something here to mow with without moving equipment. Any pics ect are welcome!!
Jeff it had 2560 hours on it and had only been used to pull luggage carts. hydro and 4x4. I paid $3500 for it and have put $600 into it including decals and a paint job. Had to buy top link, top lift arms and the adjustiable link to bottom lift arms along with leavers to control PTo and lift and linkage and handle for auto speed control. Any pics can be emailed to suttonbeeman677@cs.com Thanks Rick

Rick,
<font color=red>SAFETY ISSUE:</font color=red> Since you don't have a ROPS and you have "<font color=blue>VERY steep hills here in KY</font color=blue>" then I would also strongly recommend that you reconsider adding the ROPS back to the tractor. I'm not sure about Kubota's policy regarding "discounted" ROPS for tractors that came with a factory ROPS, but hopefully you can still buy one for around $200. Sounds like you got a pretty fair deal even after considering the cost of adding the ROPS which would add a lot to the resale value of the tractor. If the seat belts are still installed, don't use them if the ROPS is not installed.

Sometime this weekend I'll try to take some photos of my B2150's 3-point link system if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Out of curiosity, I think you mentioned earlier that the 4wd lever had been removed during its previous life implying that Delta always either used it in either 2wd or 4wd. Do you know which?

I live just outside of Knoxville TN and possibly not too far from you. I don't know how far you are from Berea, KY, but there is a B2150 gear drive for sale there (equipment trader portion of www.traderonline.com) that you might go take a look at if it is close. It seems like they are asking a high price but I don't know the value of the included equipment:

KUBOTA , B2150 -- Gear transmission, 24hp, 4cyl, 413 hours, 5ft woods, finishing mower, 4ft retivator, 5ft Fill scraper blade, unicorn log splitter, all for $10,000, (859)986-4102, BEREA kY

Hope this helps,
Kelvin

Kelvin, Your right about the steep hills, however my yard and horse pasture is pretty level with no steep places. Since most of my barns are low and hard to get into with roll bars I dont have them even on the 100 hp JD I bushhog with and some of the places I do are extremely steep! I jsut watch what i'm doing very closely! I believe Delta special ordered the tractors without the control handles for the PTO, lift, and auto speed as safety factors. It did have the 4x4 handle. It didnt have any part of the three pt hitch installed, but the guy who had the tractors had some as they must have removed them and stored them. He knew someone at delta and purchased a large number of them, some were in great shape, some were used for parts. I do live close to Berea (20 min) so I may run over there. Thanks for all the info, if I can find a roll bar for $50-200 I had just as soon buy it as fabricate one. Most parts I purchased were reasonable, but the dealer wanted $145 for a top link and said I didn't want to know how much the roll bar was! the highest thing for what it was was the plastic piece that goes around the gages...$75.00!(it was broken around screws and would have worked but I keep all my equipment in A-1 shape. (the 60 hp JD has 4985 hrs and the motor is as clean as it was the day I purchased it and is still green!)Never done anything to it but use it other that normal maintance and put in one clutch. If you get a chance to take the pics it would be appreciated!!! Rick
