I just bought this tractor last summer, had it out yesterday in the snow and noticed only one tire is driving, if I put the differential in then both drive. The brake peddal on the left wich is the one thats driving is up good when pushed, the pedal on the right goes down about 3 inches, they had been locked together sence I bought it. Anyone know what would be wrong? thanks for any advice

Sounds like it's perfectly normal and working fine. Your only going to get one wheel to drive unless the diff lock is pressed. As far as the brake, you can adjust one side up a little. I doubt that you will get them exactly the same though. Nothing sounds like you have a problem.

Sincerely, Dirt

Dirt, Did not have much time last night to fool with it, went out today and your right I guess you have to lock the differential. New to me, my old ford and allis dont work quite like that. I ordered a manual. thanks

I agree with DW, sounds normal except possible needing a brake adjustment.

Also in 4 wheel drive you only have one rear and one front pulling or with the diff lock in. Both rears and one front.

You might have a little air in the brakes also. Try bleeding them to see if that makes the pedals more even. The bleed screws are located on the top of the rear axle housings.
