2165 Stalling

I have a 2165 that stalls when the temp is over 80 degrees and I turn sharply to the right or mow on a slope that leans the tractor to the left. If I take the side panels off it seems to help quite a bit with the stalling. My dealer has no idea what may be wrong and I don't like running it with the side panels off. Anyone have any ideas?

This sounds like an electrical issue. Check over every wire you can see for broken, cracked or burnt insulation. Pull back the sleeve over the electric PTO harness and check that over really well. A wire may be moving against the chassis during the conditions you describe, grounding out which kills the ignition.

Don't think it's a wiring issue it seems to be more like a vapor lock issue. If you pull the choke sometimes it will keep running but just not very well.

You've kinda got 2 posts going for the same thing, did that $19 air filter from your other post fix it? If you think it's leaning out, look to see if the fuel filter contains fuel just after it dies. Could be a fuel pump, could be a plugged gas cap vent, or the fuel filter itself. You typically don't puff black smoke if the engine is starving for fuel.

Are you coming off the seat enough to let the seat switch kill the engine?

I don't know if this has a float type carburetor, but if it does, it sounds like the float level is set to low.

Actually they are not the same thing. The other post was caused by a bad air filter. This one deals with the motor stalling when the temp is over 80 degrees and running on a slope or turning sharply to the right. The other problem was fixed by installing a new air filter.

No that has been disconnected since the first day I tried to mow my lawn and I killed it the first time I leaned on the seat.

Since it only happens when the outside temp is above 80 degrees I would think this could be the cause. When the outside temp is below 80 degrees it works fine, or if I take the side panels off it seems to run fine. It has to be a heat issue. I have cleaned off all the vents inside and out but with the side panels on it doesn't seem make any difference.
