22 RIFLE

I've got a 10-22 that's kinda tricked out with a stock, bull barrell and scope and it's a mighty fine shooter. But the danged thing is so heavy now that all it's good for is shooting off a bench or the hood of a truck.

What I really enjoy is my old Remington 514 single shot, a box of CCI CB shorts and a little spinner target about 50 yds. out.

Just prop me up on a sunny warm afternoon, leave me alone (but come check on me occasionally) and let me shoot that little single shot.

That's about all I need.

My Cousin has an old Remington single shot.
His dad got it for him 56 years ago when he was a small boy.
About a year later he got a 22 pistol.
He still has both of them and the BB gun he had before he got the 22s.

Borrow it from him, be sure it's in good condition to shoot and enjoy it for an afternoon. They are great shooters, simple to operate and the pace of single shot shooting is very relaxing and will greatly improve your skills.

Better yet, get your cousin to go shooting with you. I'd imagine you need some time to unwind.

1* Knowing him it's probably like new yet.He takes good care of his stuff.
2*I've thought of that.It would be nice if we werent' 150 miles apart.
We grew up in houses that were about 300' apart.
I shot both the rifle and the pistol quite a bit back then.
