Looks to me like all of you are talking about "modern" .22 rifles. I've only got two .22 rifles. One is a Winchester Model 1906 pump that I inherited from an aunt; don't know when or where she got it, but at least one place on the Internet says its serial number was made in 1907. The other is The Sportmaster Remington Model 341, bolt action, that I inherited from my Dad. They were only made from 1936 to 1940. I was born in 1940 and know that my Dad was hunting squirrels and rabbits with this gun in 1945; not sure just when he got it.
