2210 and work lights

Bought some work lights to mount on rops today. I thought I saw where to wire them on here. I searched several times and places and cannot find.
Do you hook them to the spare wires under the rear of the tractor?
If true, then I would imagine they are on anytime the regular headlights are on.
Might have to go ahead and add a switch and relay....
Suggestions??

You are correct. I hooked mine up with an adapter which I can take the worklights on and off when I want. They do run anytime the headlights are on which I prefer. Really lights up the work area ahead of me.

Did you find an adapter for what the factory provided or did you cut off what came and wire in something else? Just curious.. I'm going to do something with work lights on my 2210 sometime soon.

Did my own waterproof adapters from the local auto store! No drilling. Used the magnetic welding blocks for each light. Ran the wiring down the existing holes in the ROPS and connected to the wire in the rear. Can be unplugged below or near the lights at the top of the ROPS. Lights can also be moved to various places on the ROPS with a little extra wire.

I ordered my 2210 with the rear worklight kit. It was around $40 installed and came with the harness. I intend to tap into that harness to wire another light inside the rops on the top to point forward.

You may be able to find an installation document through your dealer that shows the what, how, and where of installing the harness. Perhaps the harness is available for order--don't know. You shouldn't have to wire all the way to the alternator and there should be an existing pigtail somewhere near the rear end. The stock kit does operate off of the existing switch system so the relay should be able to handle you lights.

The wires above the rear PTO are hooked into the headlight switch for aux lights. I have 3 of the JD worklights running off those wires..2 facing forward & one to the rear. No problems and lotsa light.
