2210 backhoe... who has advice?

So far they have sold me everything uninstalled.
I have calls into two Woods dealers and neither have responded. --The problem with not having a local dealer. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif I will have to try contacting Woods directly.

I was asked if I would want to wait for the JD backhoe. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif It will be for the 2305 and no word if it will fit the 2210 (Should, not much changed). But.... looking like a 2007 release (and no price). /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I can tell you from my own experience that there is a difference between the 2210 and 2305 brackets. Main difference is the main rails going forward. The CX200 loader uses a totally different mount. The Woods BH6000 uses the loader mount to attach the front brackets for the main rails. One other difference is the seat bracket. The kit for the 2210 uses an additional seat. The 2305 kit uses a swivel bracket so the original seat works both directions. I think it is a slick set up.I don't know if the swivel bracket will work on the 2210.

Is there a backhoe coming from Deere? I have not heard this.

Time to give you an update.
I talked to another Woods dealer today.
He wants:
$5000.00 for the BH6000 and 12" bucket /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
$250.00 install. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
$117.00 pickup and delivery /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Not much question what dealer I am going to. Today's guy did NOT want me to install it. He was so against it and I said.. I know of two others (one 2210 and one 2305) who have done it successfully. I think he just wants to employ his staff.

Before I make the plunge I have one question --bucket size. Are we all happy with the 12" bucket? I have lots of rocks, should I go for the 8" and the 16"?
Or is the 12" a good size... not too big and not too small? Good on all soil.

I have played on tons of backhoes and I can't imagine the 2210 being very effective with a 16" bucket unless it was rather soft/easy digging, but I could be wrong. I would try the 12" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have the 12" simply because they are expensive and I felt it would do most of the jobs I intended it for. I would prefer to have the 8" also because I'm doing a lot of trenching. The 12" works ok for trenches and it turns out I'm using a 48" tiller to finish the ground where I'm trenching anyhow.

I agree that the 16" may be pushing it with hard ground.

To end this backhoe thread on a positive note.
I ordered the Woods BH6000 on June 15th. It arrived on the 21st. Very quick!
I made my journey through the mountains to pick it up Friday (June 23rd). That Saturday I had put 4 hours into assembly. Sunday another 4 hours of assembly and it was done! I can not believe how easy an install it was.
One plug that goes into the tractor's pump was tricky but not too bad.

The hydraulic speed is great if just moving one cylinder, two cylinders is a little slow but not bad at all.
Having two seats is fine with me. I suspected it would be a pain but I am happy with them.
