On my 1602D it's horizontal, under the floor board on the clutch side. Since there's a welded on ring that it fits into, it certainly looks oringinal to me.........

Is a Fuel Filter on a ym2000 and a ym2210 the same. If they are I am going to Napa tomorrow and get one.

That is fix,

I suspect any tractor exhaust will sting your eyes on contact. I would recommend an automotive tailpipe extension to direct the smoke higher and away similar to a factory Yanmar exhaust.

Are you guys saying there is no clutch safety switch, it's not working, or you pushed the clutch pedal down by hand, (which I do on occasion, having sense enough to check for neutral)? When I bought my tractor, the dealer did that, but told me to never, ever try it, because he was a professional, (Yeah, right ). Yep Wayne, Joe Cooper.

My 2000B came with a clutch safety switch. I thought all the "B" models did.

Didn't either TE or EFC have a good story about "someone they knew" getting run over by their tractor ?

Well, even with the clutch safety switch it could still happen if you are starting it from the ground, pushing the clutch with your hand and starting it in gear. Or if you get off while it's running and accidentally put it in gear by hitting the gear shift with your foot (powershift). Even a manual will probably lunge forward before it stalls.

It won't stall if the throttle is set at anything above a few hundred RPM. Even at very low RPM there is a chance it will keep moving. If you can manually engage the clutch in a given gear at a given RPM and get the tractor to move, the response would be the same if the gearshift was accidentally kicked (or caught on a foot while dismounting) and pulled into gear....a bit more grinding noise, perhaps, but that would be the only difference. Simply a potentially fatal situation. Imagine you have a rotary cutter attached and the pto lever gets caught or kicked as well. Now you have an unpiloted death machine running loose. Small odds perhaps, but the most enormous of likely consequences. None of us here would ever get over it if this happened to us and someone was injured. Don't get off the tractor while the engine is running, and NEVER start it without an operator properly seated on the tractor. Please.

I bush hog all day Monday and did not get the burning in the eye's like I do when I start it under the shed. But I am going to get a new exhaust for it .Because the exhaust is at eye level.I started bush hogging at 10 ran it all day till 6 It only use a little over 2gal. That is what I like about the 2cyl Yanmar.

I don't remember you saying anything about running your tractor under a shed . I guess that's why it would burn your eyes. I thought you were using the tractor (ie bush hoggin etc,.) when it was burning your eyes. WELL, glad to see it & you are ok now
