I'm gonna guess grinding the gears a few good times will put a little bit of metal shavings in the case bottom when you take out the screen?
I took the screen out to clean and found a small amount of debris on it, primarily looks like black organics and some small pieces of RTV gasket maker, the oil drained out extremely clean. I never felt there were any transmission issues.
I ran my fingers along the bottom of the case in the small pool of oil remaining and found there is a nice coating of metallic sheened oil and small flakes. Any opinions on that? Something to worry about?
