Hi,

JD2210, FEL, Landpride box blade.

I've finally got a little seat time on the 2210. Some different than a garden tractor from Sears, even as modified as it was /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Anyway, I have a couple questions. I used the Landpride box blade to clean out the meadow muffins in the horses loafing shed in the back pasture today. I set the teeth all the way up and out of the way, but I was getting a little too much digging action and was getting almost as much dirt as muffins. It seems to create a pretty level path, but it digs in a little too much. I assume I would adjust the top link, but I'm not really sure which way to go, in or out? Any suggestions? Maybe I could adjust the 3pt hitch level so that it doesnt dig in at all? I dont know, but I am sure having a good time making a mess!

Thanks,

Kurt

The loader is going to take some practice to get good with it too. I guess I'll have to sacrifice the time /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif By the time I was done tonight, I wasnt doing too badly.

I am pretty much a newbie myself but I have had a lot of time using my box blade. I alway extend my top link to create less digging. It spreads and levels well that way. Seems to be a fine line between extending to much and just right and also seems to make a difference on the soil you are working in. Experimenting will get the there. Good luck.

Welcome Horseman1,

You found your way over from GW !! congrats on your machine! You will find pratice is the only method that works...
The top link will have the most effect on cutting angles as you already have found out....the Box cutter/blade is one of the best tools to have...

Thanks, I'll just have to practice a little more. Tough pill to swallow /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Ducati, I've been reading here for a while, doing a bit of research. I just didn't know that the wife was listening when I was telling her about the 2210 when it showed up on fathers day. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Horseman1,

I have learned a great deal from this site as well as tractorpoint. The people who post on these sites are
on a much higher level of knowledge, and the best part is that it is archived here for review at anytime...
I wouldnt be surprised if a search came up with the same attachment and operating tips - you never know
