2210? or bigger

Mike,

BTW, my driveway is 10,510 sf with slopes and a run of over 600' to our street. I have yet to see a circumstance where it took longer than 30-40 minutes to clear -- and this includes stopping for a blackberry brandy with the neighbors whose driveways I also cleared! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Have you ever thought of an ATV with a plow - they are great for sidewalks, and small driveways. When I lived in MI several businesses used them to clear Apts, and condo very quickly and they are fairly cheap 5-6K plus $400 for a plow roughly. Just a though...

You right JDFAN a 2210 with a blower would be just right, any thing bigger would be over kill. To do a condo driveway 40' long would take less then 5 minutes with a 47 blower..

So it will have the power to maintain a steady pace blowing a few inches? We get a lot of wind up here so the drives ca be drifted in pretty good even though its not a heavy dump.
I really wish I would have tried one out last year to get an idea. Maybe I will go see if they have any with an attachment on it and push some around to see the power.

Lobo,

You're right; I think we've all given Mike123 good advice as to his requirements. The 2210 should be the perfect solution. One problem though, if I were operating in those kinds of circumstances/conditions, I would be looking at one of the premium heated cab's! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Code
yes there is one company doing drives here with ATV and he seems to really struggle. No where to put it once he pushes to the end.
I am wondering if I just use a big back blade with the 2210 then use the front loader to stack it on the lawn in one swipe?

Yes thanks guys great advice
It's very cold here but you do get used to it. But I am thinking I need a cab b/c sitting is much differen't then handling a 300 lb snowblower all night.

A Curtis cab with a heater would be nice.

The new 2210 replacement, the 2305, has another HP over the 2210 and the list price is supposed to be less. As far as power goes, I think that a 23-24 hp diesel has an entirely different kind of power than any gasoline engine you would be used to with the walk behind blowers. Diesels have a lot more lugging ability before stalling out than do gasoline. At 1450 lbs before implements and operator, these little tractors weigh much more than an ATV so natrurally they would be able to push much more snow. I would say that with front blower, rear blade, machine, and operator, you are looking at about a ton. A 4wd machine should be able to easily push it's own weight so by my thinking a ton of snow is an awful lot!

Just my 2 cents. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It almost gives me the creeps to post a pic (if I said I despise winter, it would be an understatement!), but here is one. I'm looking forward to spring already! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
