I just got my 2210 a month ago and I see spring in sight. I would like to be able to leave on front quick tatch bracket so I can use my blade year round and put the 62MMM on as well. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifCan I use both at the same time?

If I remember right, there is a conflict with the two being mounted at the same time. But some clever modification of either or both parts may let you do it.
A little practice and trial and error when you mount the MMM will give you a good idea what must happen next.

I know on my X485, the front quick hitch for the blade uses the same holes in the 'tractor' plates as the MMM front 'bail' uses. So both attachments cannot share the same hole, so to speak. But you are right, there are times when grabbing the blade without dropping the deck would be very handy and worthwhile.

Quickly grabbing the FEL to do the blade chores might be handy and possible with the MMM still attached.

They don't share any holes but they do bump into each other. If I remember correctly, the threaded part of the Front Mower support hits the bottom plates on the Quick-Hitch insert (you could cut them shorter).

Has anyone cut them shorter and been successfull? When I mount it up in the next few weeks I will try it. It's only new why not cut things. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I did not try it yet because I like New and shiny. I think I take better care of my tractor than I do my cars anymore. I know the cars cost more but this is a.... (don't tell my wife) a toy.

Seriously now... I do plan to cut it but I want to make sure there won't be a need for those treads down the road. I don't know how the metal will stretch and ware and need to be adjusted. Here in Vermont there is no sign of spring so it is on the back burner but... once it hits I will feel the urge to get that Mower back on.

Hopefully someone here has tried it!

When I picked-up a blade last fall, I cut-off about a half-inch from the threaded rods of the front mower support. The mmm can now be installed with the mount for the blade in place. I covered the cut ends with anti-seize to keep the rust at bay. Before cutting the rods, I ensured the mmm was level side to side and front to back, and adjusted properly to provide the full range of height adjustment.

The I was able to mount the quick hitch on my 2210 with the mower deck installed with out any problem. I was surprized I could do it, but it worked.
