Some of you may recall that in late June early July of this year, I sought some help here in trying to locate Jim McCaun of Integration Engineering. The purpose for this was to seek Jim’s help to assist my local JD dealer who was having problems trying to install my Top-N-Tilt (TNT) on my JD2210 that I had purchased from Jim. Ultimately, and over the next three weeks, Jim provided assistance by phone to my local JD mechanic, but even so, they were still baffled on how to do the install. The situation evolved down to Jim trying to solve the problem on his end and my JD people trying to do the same on their end. The bottom line was that my tractor had been sitting at my dealer now for over three weeks, and at this point, I really didn’t believe anyone was going to be able to install this TNT on my 2210. So, I called Jim and told him that I really wanted the TNT, but under the circumstances I couldn’t continue with what was happening in this situation any longer. This is when Jim told me that I would not have to put up with this any longer, he was coming to Chester, VA, himself, to do the install. For those of you that don’t know, Jim lives in Illinois. I was almost speechless - and I actually asked him to repeat what he had just said, and he did.

This past Thursday morning, as he had promised, Jim arrived at my JD dealership. He drove over 700 miles. Jim worked on my 2210 from 10am to 5pm on that day. On Friday, he worked from 8am until 6:30pm (non-stop). Both days he endured working outside in the good old Virginia high humidity and heat. He also did the complete install by himself. All I could provide was encouragement, drinks and lunches, and I served as the bearer of tools and whatever supplies he needed. I work part time at this dealership and that’s what I was doing while Jim worked on my tractor.

There are of course many details left out of this story in order to keep it as short as possible. However, my main purpose with all of this is to let everyone know the type of person you are dealing with when you do business with Jim McCaun of Integration Engineering. He truly exemplifies someone that takes “customer service” to a level that I have never even heard of, much less experienced, until now. As Jim and I were saying goodby Friday afternoon standing beside my tractor, I looked at this guy who was soaked from head to toe with sweat, grease and hydraulic fluid, and I thought to myself, you will never ever see another person who stands behind his product and supports his customers like this guy does. Thanks again Jim, you’re a class act.

Photos will be posted separately.

This photo shows a black colored button installed in the fender of the tractor near the black colored multi-function control lever for the front end loader. Push this button forward and you can operate the loader. Push it back towards the rear of the tractor and you operate the TNT using the multi-function control lever.

What was so difficult about this task? Absolutely great that Jim put in all that time, but why? Did it have to be custom made? Something different encountered on the Deere 2210?

Also, did you already have the 3rd and 4th SCV installed? Or did you only have the power beyond installed? or neither?

You have my curiosity peaked, as I am thinking hard about which way to go on a Deere 4410.
