Once I figured out the supply house was helpful, I just went with whatever they recommended.
Yeah, I probably should have put the pipe under the road in some 3 steel pipe I have laying around. I値l see if it ever becomes an issue.

One of my daughters and SIL are developing property they bought.. last year, they brought in power and got the well put in.. Foundation went in recently so they are on the way..
The well has 60+ gallons per minute using air test (that's the good news), but it is 720' deep. They are way over budget on well and will be stretched on putting pump in. I can't say they will be over budget on pump since they redid the budget once the well was drilled. They might haul water for a year, they highest priority is getting the house up before weather stops in the fall.
The local water district would connect them for $80k, which was not feasible, but they will end up over half that..

Geez - and I am complaining that our county increased water taps from $800 to $1800. Sure beats $40k!!!

Nice job -- I'll remember this the next time I grumble about trenching 100-200'.
About those leaks -- through many plumbing projects I have come to hate threaded fittings. They are just not as bullet proof as I'd like. A problem I find in recent years is that the threads aren't cut perfectly sometimes and/or they are not protected well in shipping/handling. It doesn't take but a ding or knick, or slight deformation to contribute to a leak. I avoid threaded connections as much as possible.
