2305 HP, 24 or 25???

The specs in the manual and the brochure say 17.9kW/24HP but my engine says 18.8kW which I guess would be 25 HP. Anyone else have a 2305 that says something different than 18.8kW on the engine itself?

Not that one horsepower is a big difference but if my engine is really 25HP I'd like to know.

Anyone have any input on why the difference between what the specs in print say and what the engine plate says?

Hp at rpm. Both change with the throttle

I thought of that as well but both the manual and the engine plate say they are rated at 3,00rpm.

Doesn't matter. You'll probably be tractor weight limited rather than hp limited in the attachments you can run. The 4010 is the same weight but only 18.5 hp but takes the same attachments as a 2210 and probably the 2305.

RalphVA, I agree than an extra horsepower won't allow me to do anything more with the tractor but I am a numbers guy and just like to know the exact specs on the things I own.

Here is Yanmar's performance chart, which may also be out of date...

They rate it at 3600rpm for 19.5Kw(26.1Hp)
