2305 Independent Deck Lift ?

Our 2305 was bought used with 38 hours on it a couple of years ago and presently has 230 hours on it. Since we got it the independent deck lift works like poop. Better when it is cold and hardly at all when the oil gets warm. If i get off the tractor and lift on the deck while using the Joystick it goes up all the way-tough to do when you want to go over something when mowwing. The setup looks like it cant really work well as it is pulling up the deck instead of lifting. Anyone else have this problem and how did you solve it?

I do not understand the problem. How do you expect it to operate? If I understad your post, you want it to lift the deck without pulling on it?

The only problem I have had with my indy lift is the lift/dump selector gets stuck if I do not use it in many months. Some WD-40 on the selector hardware and actuating it more frequently solves the problem.

I mow 3 acres, and have 125 hours on my 2009 2305.

I'm guessing there's a leak in the hydraulic line. There are only two sets of fittings - one at each end - but the routing through the tractor innards isn't very well protected and vibration may have finally worn out the hose. Search the entire hose for leaks, starting at the fittings, and my bet is you'll find hydraulic fluid.

Try connecting the hydraulic line from the lift cylinder to the black or green quick connector. Then move your joy-stick forward and back to lift or lower the deck. This way you don't have to mess with the re-gen cycle.

It's true the yellow line has regen quirks, but it's on lowering, not raising - unless you've hooked the independent lift up to the gray port.

Can you confirm which port you're tapped in to?

Are you opening and closing the valve located on the front of right fender to switch between the loader and the mower? If memory serves you pull the black knob on the control lever on the valve out for the mower and push it in for the loader.
