2305 loss of power

I realize this is an old posting. Just thought of adding info for other 2305 users. This spring started using mower and tractor engine would lug down while cutting thick clover. After searching on TBN, finding this post and others led me to check air and fuel filter. Air filter was not real dirty and made no difference in performance after changing. Fuel filter was real dirty with some black gunk of sorts. Replaced fuel filter. Wow, it now runs like a DEER.
