The swivel seat for my JD 2305 broke today. Tractor is a 2010 year with 89 hours. For those not familiar with the seat for that model it has a nice feature that is easy to use, and until now, worked flawlessly. A lift of a lever allows the seat to go from forward position to the rear for backhoe use. When it goes from front to rear the seat lifts up several inches to clear the rear tractor frame. When using it today going from rear to front the lift mechanism failed. The seat returned to front mode but did not drop down to its lower posotion. A quick inspection revealed this small ball joint bolt had snapped. I managed to bring the seat to its lower position by manipulating it manually. Dealer should have the ball joint tomorrow. Should be a quick fix and no big deal. I'm pretty easy on it when I flip it from front to back but maybe I'm gonna have to really baby it from now on.
