I purchased a 2305 to use at my 'mountain' property. At the time of purchase I wanted a 2320, but delivery was delayed several times AND my dealer told me that it was a 5k+ price difference. I like my 2305, but I would be more comfortable with the larger wheels/increased ground clearance, and I like the appearance of the larger unit better. I see the price differential is not that great. Has anyone else made this 'upgrade'. How do you feel about it now? My 2305 only has about 10 hours on it, in case anyone is interested!

I upgraded from a sub-cut (Cub Cadet 5234D, same size, power and features as the 2305). I especially like the added ground clearance the 2320 gives me. You won't regret getting a larger tractor.

Jksnlvy,

Not to cause a problem between you and your dealer, but...

How long ago did you take delivery of your 2305??? If it only has 10 hours on it, and is 1 to 2 months old, I would approach your dealer about returning it for a 2320. I understand that I do not know the entire situation, but it IS possible for a dealer to take a tractor back, and get it reinstated with Deere in certain circumstances...

In my case, a former salesperson had done a very poor job during the sales process on a 2305. While it is a great little tractor, it is not the right tractor for all operators. After using the tractor for 7 hours, over the span of 6 weeks, he was very dissatisfied. The client talked with me, I spoke with my Deere rep, and the owner is now very happy with his 2320 - and I suspect he will be a loyal customer of mine for years to come...

It may take a little "pushing" from your end, but in my opinion you should consider it. You will be much, MUCH happier with a 2320.

JK,

I too am pretty much leaning toward the 2320 after over a year of lurking. I have an old Long that is cramped and very uncomfortable. I guess they made those tractors for slim hard working farmers not big guys like myself. I sat on the 2305 and right away felt it would not be big enough for my large 6"3" frame and associated front porch :) I really felt a little like I was on my Wheelhorse. The 2320 was much more ergonomic for me and as you said felt more like a compact than a sub. Now I just have to decide between the 2320 or the 2520  My .02

I'm sure you will find a buyer for your 2305 it's a fine machine and well suited for most estate owners.

Good Luck!

I've had my 2305 since May or June. I cannot believe I've only gotten to use it 2 times, my schedule was horrible and my time off depleted due to the illness and passing of my Dad. Thanks for the responses, I'm visiting my local dealer and another tomorrow and hopefully will have a 2320 by days end.

If your dealer isn't cooperative, Shawk is looking to trade down from a 2520 to a 2305. Maybe you can work something out w/ him.

Thanks Mike...

Jksnvly... if you have interest you can PM me... I'm considering a move back to a smaller unit.

Shawk, the interest is there but the distance I believe poses a substantial obstacle...plus you have turf tires and I need the R4's. Thanks.

No sweat... I'm not overly anxious to see it go either... ;) Good luck with your search. They're fabulous machines...

Visited 2 dealerships today, waiting for their numbers, 1 more on Wednesday. Had my first opportunity to view a 2320 next to a 2305, IMO the 2320 is much more tractor.

That's how I saw them, side by side. Pretty noticable difference. The one thing I don't understand (and I've heard of this before) is the dealer I've been going to does not stock them. He orders them on demand and the only way to see one is to see it before the new owner picks it up or has it delivered. Anyone know what that's about? Thanks.

Not sure why your dealer won't keep one in stock. I do not think the model it replaced was all that popular so maybe they are gunshy from it. Or it could be still hard to get from Deere for the inventory as it has only been out a few months now.

I made the deal today. My 2320 is scheduled for delivery to dealer on 12-19. All 3 dealers I've spoken with said demand is exceeding the supply, I'm sure the later production date has alot to do with it. Another reason to wish for a short Winter!

Tom,

I have no idea why your dealer won't stock the 2x20 tractors... I agree that the 4010, 4110 & 4115 were slow sellers (to say the least  ) but the replacements are just awesome - more tractor, better features, and at a lower price.

My issue is how many Deere will let me stock! Maybe I should tell Deere to let me stock the ones that your dealer doesn't!!! :D

The lead time for the factory (without paying additional for LTL freight) is currently 02Jan07 for a 2320 w/Turf Tires and 09Jan07 for a 2320 w/R4's. A 2520 w/Turf Tires would be 09Jan07, with R4's would be 23Jan07.

Congrats! Can you share what equipment was traded in and what you're getting? Also what the difference turned out to be dollar wise... ?

Lastly... pics when it arrives tooooo :D

My 2305 and 3K. My other offers were: $3995 and $4800. Bare tractor, will keep my rotary cutter and my brush guard as it fits the 2320. I'm pleased as I had a great price on my 2305 when I purchased it. Sound okay to you guys?

I think your right. I know for a while the Kioti CK20's were a little hard to get when the demand peaked. Maybe that's the issue. Or maybe the dealer doesn't wan't to carry the excess stock $$$$=interest. My rebutal would be "how can you sell what the consumer can't physically check out"?
