I have to say thanks again for all of the information here. Without it I would be in real trouble with decisions. I wanted to pass along my most recent purchase in the hope that it may help someone else. Maybe I have found something different. I was looking for a trailer to haul my 2305 with FEL and BH infrequently. Total weight approximately 2660 pounds. I read this forum in great detail about weight, axels, brakes, etc. So now I was looking for a 4K carrying capacity or greater, dual axel, brakes on all wheels. The idea of borrowing although available was not practical. Way to much time involved. The idea of renting simply did not work out because of availability and timing. I began looking at trailers from vendors such as BigTex, PJ, and Featherlite along with others. Aluminum seemed great with the lack of maintenance very appealing. The problem with Aluminum, for me, was the price. 5.5K for something I was not using often. Then I read about others maintaining the paint on their trailers. For me that would be a nightmare. Thinking there must be a compromise I began a search for a galvanized trailer. They make boat trailers that way why not one for my tractor? Not as good as Aluminum but seemed better than paint maintenance wise, although not as pretty as paint. I finally found one for what seems to be a reasonable price 3.5K. Dual axel, brakes on all wheels, 5K carrying capacity, 7K GVW etc. Then I did something I have never done before. I purchased it, a RoadKing sight unseen. Very nice Company to do business with. I called them and they were very responsive. The Local distributor was great to work with. It took a while to get it. When it arrived I was very pleased. It is all channel Iron as compared to angle I have seen on other trailers. The deck is pressure treated and looks easy to replace boards. Everything is galvanized including the axels. It seems to pull nicely. The test is to see how it fairs after winter storage outside. Now the question is do I need to shovel it weekly ?

Enjoy. I have never seen a galvanized unit like yours, sounds very appealing. I have a painted 18' tandem that lives in a pole barn so it stays very nice.
