JD 2305
Hello I've been reading this site for a couple years and want to contribute a few of my projects...I have a JD 2305 and I finally added a transmission cooler after 600 hours. I've never seen it done only discussed and I thought I'd share with anyone interested.

And I have pictures. This is my first post and I'm not sure how to add them...

Welcome to TBN.............................

I hope your cooler install included flared fittings on the lines and not just hose clamps. The hydraulic system and transmission lines have high pressure that would and hose clamps would probably not hold.
On the top right side of the page do a Google custom search for how to add pictures. There is a thread that tells you how to do it.

Yes flare fittings...and it's not on the high pressure side it is tied in on the return going into the fi IMG_20150923_163200938.jpglter.

Where I work they have a 2305 with cab and 54" PA plow. They use it for snow plowing sidewalks. Their HST pedals no longer return to center when they release them and the tractor keeps moving. Since I'm the only person with tractor knowledge they've asked me to look at their tractor. I found all the moving HST parts under the cab have worn out over the past 5 years and need replacing. I've ordered the parts (most on back order) and when they come in I'm going bring it home to replace all the linkage under the cab attaching the HST pedals. The brake pedal is also frozen and doesn't work from lack of use, diff lock pedal is frozen too, cab heater doesn't work, and all fluids and filters need changing as well. Radiator doesn't leak but cooling fins are disintegrating from either corrosion or the salt used on the walks after plowing. When I got the parts quote for everything the cost was out of their budget so their going to wait till spring to order the radiator.
They had it taken to the dealer about 4 months ago to fix the HST. Dealer changed the damper cylinder but that didn't fix the problem. They have lost faith in him so I ended up with the repair job.
