Just getting mine ready for mower and according to manf info from the middle of bracket down to middle of u hook going on lift arm should measure 5 1/8 " Mine is 4 5/8
The big concern has always been not getting the lift height when lifting to the highest setting . I have the 54c mower deck

just wondering

Thanks

Your question doesn't make a lot of sense, not to mention there isn't actually a question there, however, if you are trying to set up your 54C mower deck according to the book, I recommend taking some of it with a grain of salt.

When I first got mine, I went through it with a fine tooth comb (very little confidence in my local dealership). I tried gettiing the mower deck adjusted just the way the manual instructs. The problem for me was that with the powerflow head on the right side of the mower deck, I actually had to stray from the specs in the book to get everything to work correctly and balanced. There weren't any instructions for that scenario.

As a side note, I ended up nixing the powerflow head and bagging system in favor of a mulching kit. The bagging system for the 2305 is obviously an afterthought and a PITA to install/uninstall. The bagger frame bolts onto the rear tongue of the tractor instead of sliding into a receiver (duh) and you are supposed to be able to apply something like 450 ft lbs of torque on the bolts (DUHHHH!). Ya, ok. Thanks JD, dumbasses.

Thanks for the comeback. Yea between service manager and myself we just set it up to make it work. Tonight I also found out I have the manual for a 54c mower fitting a 345 tractor not my 2305 !!!! No wonder we couln't get any of the measurement close to the settings in the manual

Thanks

Nice. Yeah, be sure you get every bit of the paperwork with the tractor. Once they deliver it, anything that should be with the tractor but isn't will probably be long gone. I went back to ask for the installation instructions for the optional hydraulic diverter valve because, big surprise, they installed it suspiciously odd (aka wrong). They said I had to call their corporate documents phone number. Those people said, no, I had to go back and get it from the dealer. At that point I just said F it. Dumbasses.

I really wish John Deere would update their corporate structure to the 21st century. Having to go through a dealer to get parts, for example, is so outdated. But I digress...

Good that you got the deck in order. It's important.
