This morning I changed the fuel filter, and Tried to follow the instructions in the manual for bleeding the system, but the fuel valve does not seem to work like the one in the diagram.

The manual shows the valve with toward the front (3:00 position) as air bleed, straight down (6:00), toward the back (9:00) as off. However, on mine the on seems to be 6:00, and both 3:00 and 12:00 are off. After going back and forth several times, I eventually got the bowl half full, and it seemed to run OK. But it got me wondering if the bowl should be full, and what is the process for bleeding the system with a valve like mine?

Thanks,
Jay

Sorry for the typo - I Should have added that on mine the 6:00 position is on, just like in the manual. It's the ore two positions that are a mystery.

I just changed the fuel filter on my gc2300 Friday and my valve has only a shut off and a on.The manual says it have a bleed as well but have never found it???.I just turn the valve to on and let the pump run untill the bowl is full and then start it up and go.Have done this a few times and have never had any problems.Larry
