2320 and 5' Rotary Cutter

Have any of you tried using a 5' rotary cutter with the 2320? I know it would have to be a light duty model but that would be sufficient for what I am doing. I don't own a 2320 but I am looking to buy soon and don't think I need the 2520 other than possibly using a larger rotary cutter and other 3 point attachments. Thanks

Hey Lt,

Go ahead and get the 2320. I made the decision a while ago and have no regrets. Also got the frontier 5' light duty cutter and it works great. Just make sure that you have the front loader attached. From doing our fields here once a month or so of about 18 acres it has had no problems at all. The only thing you have to be careful us is when you have it lifted up in the travel position. If you have it up you can get a bit of the "tail wagging the dog" affect. But by all means get the 2320 and don't be afraid to throw a 5 footer back there. But that is just my two cents. Seems like it saw somewhere on the JD site the LX5 was listed for the 2320. The previous poster said it works so it must be so. Have been going back and forth between an LX5 and a 261RFM for my 2320. The finish mower vs the sharpened blade rotary cutter was discussed at length just last week in the Attachments forum if you are interested.

Thanks for that brother...I am going to go in and read about that now. But I will say that it seems the Rotary Cutter cuts beautifully. After cutting down real high brush it almost looks like a lawn. And if you're not careful when you set it up, you can drop it right down and cut real short. I have begun to call mine the "magic roc finder."
