I know this an old thread, but can a US customer order European parts?

Ryan

I pretty sure you cannot...

Ahhh. That figures. Maybe I'll have my father-in-law buy a cab for my 2520 for me while on vacation in Europe and secretly ship it home......:)

Not 100% on the European models, but the US cab tractors (3x20 series) the cabs are integral to the machine, they are not "added" on. I would guess the Euro 2520 cabs are the same way.

I saw a picture of the European 2030 with the factory cab (which looks like a U.S. 2000 Twenty series) and it looks awesome. Personally, I could care less about the no A/C issue, I'd just like to have it for the heat in the winter. Oh well, I'm sure getting one over here or having JD offer it to their U.S. customers is a pipe dream.

KennyD is probably correct, but if you got the research bug, then it would not hurt to maker an inquiry on if it is possible to retrofit a cab on an OS model. You probably would want call or send an email to a overseas JD Dealer to get some info.

I wouldnt think it would be the "end of the world" to get one shipped over....would probably take some effort to call around, get your ducks in a row, etc...
As far as offering it here in the USA...I dont see a reason at all Deere wouldnt offer it...What keeps most of the products out of the USA isnt the companies building them...its the stupid regulations by useless dept's such as the EPA, OSHA, etc...
Just like all the Diesel powered cars and trucks over there that get excellent mileage but arent able to be imported to the USA because they dont pass SMOG, Safety, etc regulations... Dont you think in todays fuel enviroment Honda/GM or any of the others who already have a car in production over there getting 55mpg wouldnt want to bring em straight here?

Do you guys know how much the different cabs for a 2720 or 2520 are? Jodale Perry, Curtis, Walter Mauser?

From my understanding, we will not see a factory cab offering in the 2x20's for quite some time, if ever. The cost (especially in today's market) to use the European cab (without A/C) is extremely prohibitive... Also Deere, through their market research, cannot as yet justify a marketing plan for a 2x20 cab tractor - with or without A/C. All I know is that Kubota seems to be doing very well with the B3030 Cab models, I know I have lost a few deals to them.
