2350 with 60" MMM - NEED HELP!

Hi Folks:

Took delivery of a BX2350 last Friday - upon inspection, I noticed that the deck was "out of alignment", meaning that the front of the deck is 2.5" higher that the rear of the deck. I checked the book and it says 3/16" max measured from just inside the anti-scalp, from level ground to bottom of deck.

I called the dealer and he told me the deck being out by 2.5" is "normal" and I should be all set - ??

So is the book wrong, the dealer wrong or what am I missing? If I leave the deck the way it is - I need to have the anti-scalp wheels at different heights to allow proper clearance...

This is not a good way to start a relationship with you. He needs to send a tech out to your place and fix it.

There is a yoke that attaches to the front of the deck. Its adjusted with two bolts at the front of the machine. Loosening the yoke will drop the front end of the deck down. It is normal for the front to be higher than the back when the deck is up in the air, it should level out once its lowered. 2" is extreme though!

So just to clarify, when I lower the deck to a mowing position, it is at that point the deck alignment should be within 3/16"?

If this is the case, I believe this to be true - it's my dealer who is losing it...

Unfortunately, my sales person is on vacation, will followup when he returns tomorrow.
