Same tractor? I don't think so. Esee2248 may well have a great deal in front of him/her; I have no way of knowing without inspecting the unit. But same tractor? Same model perhaps. And $8699 is currently less $300 with the opportunity to buy a fully adjustable 5' grader for $150 with the tractor. Still not $5500, but a very good deal considering all our tractors include. The one Kenmac is talking about has a 2210D W/L for $8699 . plus you will have to pay for shipping. Same tractor you are looking at for $5500 and you get a mower and a box scraper. Get someone to go look at it with you that knows tractor . it sound like a good deal to me.
Does it have an OSHA approved folding ROPS ($700)? Clutch safety start switch ($50)? PTO shield ($50)? New english decals ($30-$40)? Operation manual ($40)? Copy of parts manual ($40)? 4 NEW tires ($450)? New filters and fluids ($100)? Six month parts & labor from one of the oldest dealers in grey market Yanmars (plus phone support if needed for any repair)? Has it just been through a full service shop where any mechanical deficiency was repaired? Is it a Koyker loader or one of the proprietary vn loaders for which parts are all but impossible to find? All those things factor into the value of our tractors, as our satisfied customers know quite well.
Esee2248 you may well have a great buy available to you. Please do not misconstrue my post and think there are no good tractors anywhere but our lot. We simply urge extreme caution as there is a really dark side to this market, many who sell that junk are well versed in appearing like good honest simple folk, and we know because we get the calls later when the problems start and there is no seller support. If you are absolutely certain this person has owned and used the tractor for an extended period you are probably in good shape. MANY of the sellers of the lesser units pretend they own them...they keep a few in a barn, etc., and set one at a time out claiming it is their personal tractor. This is a selling line we have heard all too often. Best of luck to you with it, and consider an OSHA approved ROPS as your first need for it. No one ever expects a rollover....it just happens.
BTW, the 2210/2210D is one of my personal favorites in terms of value (working ability per $ of cost).
