I was using my tractor yesterday to mow with a 6ft rotary mower. Hitch worked great lifted the mower without any problem.

I then disconnected the mower and hooked up pto driven pump to irrigate (hitch not needed). Left it in the raised position.

After I got thru irrigating I disconnected the pump. I lower the hitch to access the drive shaft easier. When I went to raise the hitch it would only go halfway up. I could physically lift it up all the way then it would drop back down. When the tractor was shut off the hitch slowly lowered. It had never done that before, always stayed up.

There was also a little hydraulic fluid under the tractor where parked however I did not see any leaking. There is some leakage on the undercarriage. However I could not find anything leaking. The hydraulic tank is full. The lift lever is not bent.

Today I was able to lift the hitch to the top and it stayed there. I cycled it up and down a couple of inches and it appeared to be working. However, when I lowered all the way, there was a clunk as it got about halfway down. When I tried to raise again it would only lift halfway.

I talked with my dealer and he was unable to trouble shoot it further over the phone. (not a problem I understand I would have been surprised if he could, he is a great dealer though) He will be picking it up first thing Monday morning (Thank God for warranties). At least I can still use it till then to irrigate the blueberries and I have another tracker I can use for irrigation.

Just looking to see if anyone else may have had a similar problem with their 3 pt hitch and might have an idea what else to look at.

Thanks,
Eric

Let us know what the problem is. I'm thinking there is a seal that has failed.

You were close. They think the relief valve was not working properly which caused the end of the lifting cylinder to blow off. They replace the parts with new. Verified the relief valve is working properly. It is all good now. And covered under the warranty :cool2:.

Side note, picked it up Monday morning, returned it early Friday afternoon. Very happy with my dealer.
