Hi,
I saw mention in a post somewhere where [by rdbrumfield or beenthere?] where the poster welded a piece of pipe inside the top lip of the bucket and that seemed to increase the strengh by quite a bit. I think there was a photo posted and that it looked like a nice clean installation. Sorry, I can't remember the post or thread it was in... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
A tooth bar on the lower lip also seems to add a lot of strength, at least to the 54 inch bucket on my
b2910.
When you say your bucket twisted, what do you mean? There have been lots of reports here about bent top and bottom lips, but twisted buckets seem rare [at least that is my impression]
I also recall reading that different rear tire pressure can cause one side of the bucket to touch the ground before the other, making it appear that something is twisted when in fact it is not. If you are looking at the way the loader bucket touches the level ground, you might try checking the rear tire pressures just to be sure they are equal.
I worked my 54" bucket with tooth bar on it pretty good last summer, and have not noticed any bending or twisting at all. That included a lot of digging and scraping of hard clay around my pond and some pushing over of small and dead trees, and pushig on stumps and so on.
Just a couple thoughts...
By the way, a tooth bar really helps when digging!
